RoxXandra:The Saga
(Or Something Like It)
I was born on the tiny island of Puerto Rico, a land of colour and music, and raised by two creatively-nurturing parents. My earliest memories are of the double rainbows that illuminated the grey skies of St. Croix, and the bright red balloons that we would cut and watch float away and disappear into the great blue (in hindsight, this was very bad for the environment, but it still taught me to live with a sense of wonder for the expansive). I was given art supplies instead of toys more often, and that seemed to suit me as I remember being shy and having trouble making friends. Instead, I spent hours in my bedroom, hunched over a sketchpad, exploring my imagination and art materials, learning by observation and taking advantage of the extra time available as a Homeschooler.
I didn't receive formal training until highschool when I was lucky enough to win a Comic Book Art class scholarship from [then] Academy of Art College in San Francisco. Over a decade later, formal training continued and I received an AA in Fine Art and a certification in Graphic Design from the humble-yet-awesome Orange Coast College of Southern California.
It was there that I became curious about art modeling, and ended up on the other side of the canvas for several years. I was invited to model in studios including DreamWorks PDI, Disney Playdom, Blizzard, and Obsidian Ent. Working at various schools, with so many different instructors and students was the finest education I could have asked for.

Art will continue to be the medium which I can best express myself. I fight social anxiety regularly and have always found solace when creating and firmly believe in the healing power that heart has on the mind and soul. I wish to share what it has taught me, and where it will lead me.
